First Responder of the Year Contest

Do you know a first responder who deserves recognition for their services to the community? Now is your chance to nominate them as our First Responder of the Year! We will be choosing one to three winners to feature in our upcoming edition as our official First Responders of the Year. Each nominee will receive a half-page feature in our upcoming edition as well as a special shoutout on our website and social media.

Please email submissions@theshieldjournal.ca with your nominations, or send us a message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

To Nominate:

Email submissions@theshieldjournal.ca with the subject line “FIRST RESPONDER OF THE YEAR” or send us a message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with your nominee’s name, occupation and contact details.

Please also include the reason for your nomination, or why you think they are deserving of the nomination.

Contest Rules:

• Eligible nominees: Paramedics (EMT), firefighters, police officers, 9-1-1 dispatchers, Border Security Officers, Corrections Officers & members of the CAF Search and Rescue Program.
• You may nominate up to three people. If you have more than one first responder in your life, feel free to nominate them as well! Please make sure your nominations are in separate entries.
